I moved to Colorado Springs from Chicago two years ago and my first year apartment experience was a nightmare. After that I moved to Peaks at Woodmen for my second year and could not have more good things to say about it. The staff in the office are extremely helpful and easy to contact. They are always kind and readily available. The maintenance team is amazing as well. They come quickly for anything that needs to be fixed, do a thorough job, and are very nice and respectful. The overall quality of each unit is great too and I felt very comfortable in my home for a year :) The amenities are all up to date and nice as well and it’s great to see the Peaks at Woodmen community all enjoy using them. We were sad when we had to move out but were moving to Denver otherwise we would have spent multiple years in these apartments! I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking in the Springs! Thank you to the amazing team over at Peaks at Woodmen for a great year there!

Ashlee in particular is an incredible Leasing Consultant. This is our first time in a long while looking for an apartment and it was a bit of a learning curve when it comes to the process, Ashlee and the team were incredibly patient and helpful I would highly recommend working with these people to find your home! ***UPDATE: Water heater issues since April when I moved in. They have sent out 3 different venders. All stating different things to do. First vendor stated I needed a new water heater. 2nd vendor stated I had to run my kitchen sink while running my shower to gain heated hour. 3rd Vendor said nothing. My heat went out on 11/20, was fixed quickly, but then went out again on 11/22, so that’s when the 3rd vender came out from Old American Mechanical, now today 12/2 I don’t have heat or hot water again. I submitted a work order this morning at 8:00am and emailed the manager, still no heat, I called the emergency line at 8:28pm. This apartment needs a new water heater.*** The Positives: • Good location • Nice trail behind complex • Huge porch • Separate laundry room with closet • Nice master bedroom and closet size • Noise where I am located is controlled which is great! • Amazon locker on site near mail box • Gym is currently being redone so gym on site with pool • Dog Park The Cons: • I moved in on 4/6, the apartment wasn’t clean when I moved in so that was a little disappointing. • The flooring was updated to vinyl which was nice, but it looks like when they took the carpet out they didn’t replace the trim, so to compensate for the gap between the floors and trim they added brand new thin trim. So it was a noticeable difference since the trim wasn’t repainted. • Light bulbs were not replaced, some were dark black. • I had some issues with my desk, stove, dishwasher panel was off the cabinet wall. (These were fixed a week after move in. • Hot water issues that I am still experiencing. (See update above). They operate on a dual water heater system. (Currently, I don’t get hot water to shower unless the heater is on at 76 degrees.) They have come multiple times to attempt to fix, but every time they flush the heater it of course works for the amount of time they are here. My boyfriend has witnessed this multiple times and he says it’s not normal. He has watched me wait 10 minutes for hot water, wasting water. So *frustrating* because I have to cool down my apartment after my shower to get comfortable. Which adds to my bill. • Car wash vacuum hasn’t worked since I have moved in, in April. • Parking is pretty bad, so tough to find spots when you have visitors or if you come home late. You either have to park in the front of the office or a few apartment buildings down. I gave in and got a garage. After reading other reviews, having the same water heater issues it seems like they are in need of new water heaters for sure for this complex. Overall still happy I choose these apartments to rent.

They are sending another dispatcher out, but mind you he changed the modem the last time, this time they are claiming it’s a cable connection issue. I ran into a neighbor across the way and he hasn’t had internet for 2 days. I wish this internet was better with service, we pay for the internet through our rent. Parking is pretty bad, so tough to find spots when you visitors or if you come home late. You either have to park in the front of the office of a few apartment buildings down. Overall still happy I choose these apartments to rent.

I would recommend this apartment to anybody seeking a nice apartment in a good location. The layouts are great, the amenities are good, the location (as mentioned) is very good with quick and easy access to I-25. Our neighbors were all generally quiet and courteous. The main drawback is limited parking spaces that fill in the evenings, so a garage may be a good idea. However, the best part of living here was the office staff and the maintenance team. The ladies in the office (Chanel, Sarah and Ashlee) were always helpful, ready to remedy any issues that arose with a smile on their faces. Communication with the office with regards to community events/notices was always direct and timely. When I got my service animal, the office was quick to accommodate him. Maintenance was always prompt, respectful in our home, and kept the grounds very clean. If it weren’t for the amazing staff I’m sure our stay here would not have been as good as it was.

Chanel, The community manager even offered me some water while I wait for a tow truck. It was very nice at a time that I needed it, and she could’ve treated me very differently. I would definitely look here if I was in the market!

I ended up getting stranded here today because it was the closest place for me to pull in with the car trouble I was having. First, the maintenance guys were very nice to help me move my car from blocking traffic. Then I went into the office to let them know that I had a tow truck coming because I was parked in an awkward spot. Chanel, the community manager, was so understanding and sweet. She even offered me a water while I waited. It was such a nice experience at a time when I really needed it, not to mention, she could have been unwelcoming and rude about the inconvenience, but it was just the opposite. I would definitely consider these apartments if I was looking.

The office is very professional and consistent, especially Kendall. I had so many questions for her and she was always nice and quick to respond. **update** It took two months for someone to fix my dishwasher. I had to request maintenance 3x. The apartment community, especially the pool area on the weekend evenings is not family oriented. People are disrespectful of others, not cleaning up, not watching their kids and smoking/vaping even though it's a nonsmoking property. The staff do not enforce rules so residents do not feel protected nor supported.

I've been living here for around 1.5 years, and I REALLY like this place. Granted, I probably have one if the nicer apartments (with a gorgeous view of nature, so morning coffees are simply glorious), but I would still live here if that wasn't the case due to the location being close to just about everything one would want. The reason I'm suddenly writing a review is that these guys just went above and beyond what one would expect of a landlord. I seriously hurt myself and temporarily can't walk...and have been getting final warning emails from Amazon about my packages in the locker thing. They actually offered to move the packages from the locker to my door! That is definitely not something that would've happened with any of the places I've lived before. Thank you! =]

I moved to Colorado, and to this complex, last month. Despite not having previously called, the office lady Kendall still took the time to give me a tour of the place. Kendall was calm, well-mannered and even took the time to sit with me and broke down the cost of living here in order to help me better prepare. If you're like me; English is your second language, small details like this might matter to you as well. The unit I moved into was clean, everything in it works as it should and most importantly it was odor free. Please note, this is not a said and done review; should I get any negative experiences in this place or with the management I will come back here and update my review, so far I highly recommend new comers to town to at least give this place a chance.

Couldn't be happier with the welcoming experience my son and I had with Mandi! My son and I were stranded in Colorado after driving 3 days and having a very bad experience with another complex here in town and Mandi jumped to be a helping hand! Super pleased with The Peaks. No place is perfect, even if it is just recently built. I had a couple issues with my toilet and shower, and the workers came the following day after I put the work order and and replaced the item. Super easy. Plus the staff is amazingly friendly. They usually help me with and resolve any issues I have.

So my move in was very bad. Apartment was not up to what I was shown, a lot of maintenance issues and such. Very disappointed In the move in. Mandi though went above and beyond to correct the issues. Mandi gets 5 stars. As for the complex it’s a 2 star, definitely not luxury.

The apartment is clean and quiet. It's been a few months since moving in and Mandi was nice to work with. I like the services they offer. The "bad" for me is how narrow the roads are especially with everyone driving fast around the corners. I always slow way down to avoid collision. Also, I must've misread it, but I thought there was a (security) gate which they don't have here. Neither of those things can really be taken care of unless they want to expand the roads wider or establish a guard shack but both of those would be big projects and I doubt they'd do it at this point in time, but I thought I'd mention it since they've been on my mind since day 1. I haven't lived elsewhere, but this is a solid place to live if you're looking for a place from outside the state as we have.

Yesterday marked two months of me living at the Peaks at Woodmen and I just had to write a little review giving a shout out to the ladies in the office. From the second I stepped foot in the office just to ask a few questions about the community Mandi and Chanel have been an amazing help and I am a very particular person(some might say picky). I have been to the office a handful of times about little questions or concerns and they are always there to help me. Also few days after moving in I had an issue with my unit that I didn't mention on my move in inspection and went to the office to ask about a maintenance request and they showed me how to put in a request online but also they "walkie talkied" (is that how you spell that?) their maintenance team and let them know the issue. I thanked them and headed home thinking they would get to it in a few days but by the time I reached my door two of them were getting out of a cart with tools in hand. To the team at Peaks of Woodmen, thank you very much for everything you do for my family.

Very polite, are quick to resolve issues and go out of their way to make sure their renters are taken care of. The area, for being in a busy area, is relatively quiet too. I have no issues sleeping through the night. The location is also easy to get in and out off. Highly recommend. if you are needing a a place to stay.

I stayed in these apartments for about 6 months with my husband. It was absolutely wonderful! The location, the staff as well as the amenities. One of the individual staff members that stood out the most was Sarah G. Not only was she always on top of issues that arose, she helped out so much when I found out I was pregnant with my twins. We would have many items delivered and she was always ready to volunteer to take packages (heavy or light) to my vehicle to ensure I was staying safe during my pregnancy. She would call to let us know when we had packages come in and would check to see if we had any when I would call, so I wouldnt make any unnecessary trips (considering my pregnancy was very strenuous and stressful). She would check up on me time from time to make sure everything was up to date in our apartment. If there was anyone who I would say went above and beyond, it was her. The rest of the staff were very nice and friendly, but she stood out the most. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to my friends. I would tell them that one person they could count on, is her. If I could give more stars for Peaks at Woodmen, I would. If I could rate a staff member, there wouldn't be enough stars to show how amazing she was. Thank you Sarah and thanks Peaks at Woodmen.

Mandy, Chanel, and Sarah all played an integral role in helping them find a perfect match for their needs. Highly recommend! Although I did not rent a unit at this property due to having to move back home to MN at such a short notice, the management here was very understanding of my situation and they were able to refund me my holding fee. Their level of professionalism is outstanding and they have a lot to offer. Sarah was extremely helpful and patient during my application process and continued to call/email me to keep me in the loop. They care more about their tenants than the money and that goes a long ways in my opinion. I am very pleased with their services.

I absolutely LOVE these apartments. They are beautiful, updated, and great. It's in a nice neighborhood with PHENOMENAL views of the mountains. The staff in the office as well as the maintenance crew are AMAZING as well. My dryer in my apartment went out and it was going to take about 10-days for the new part to arrive. Did they make my family wait....? NOPE! Without me even having to ask, they replaced the entire dryer for a brand new one that SAME day! If that's not PHENOMENAL customer service, then I dont know what is. ***We wanted to put a special shout out to AVAY in the leasing office.....she (as well as the rest of the staff) have really made an effort to go above and beyond in ALL that they do. You are not just a number or a tenant....they personally CARE for all of the Families in our tight-knit community. Though all of the staff members are great AVAY (SP?) is the BEST! She really paid attention to all of my questions, concerns, and requests and made it happen. I am very IMPRESSED with her dedication to ensuring that we are all properly taken care of in a timely fashion. ****On another note...they complex gets the residents involved in community events so that we can have fun while we get to know our neighbors better....So....ask yourself this....why haven't YOU called AVAY in the leasing office so that you and your Family can join OUR HAPPY FAMILY?

The staff in the office as well as the maintenance crew are AMAZING as well. My dryer in my apartment went out and it was going to take about 10-days for the new part to arrive. Did they make my family wait....? NOPE! Without me even having to ask, they replaced the entire dryer for a brand new one that SAME day! If that's not PHENOMENAL customer service, then I dont know what is. ***We wanted to put a special shout out to AVAY in the leasing office.....she (as well as the rest of the staff) have really made an effort to go above and beyond in ALL that they do. You are not just a number or a tenant....they personally CARE for all of the Families in our tight-knit community. Though all of the staff members are great AVAY (SP?) is the BEST! She really paid attention to all of my questions, concerns, and requests and made it happen. I am very IMPRESSED with her dedication to ensuring that we are all properly taken care of in a timely fashion. ****On another note...they complex gets the residents involved in community events so that we can have fun while we get to know our neighbors better....So....ask yourself this....why haven't YOU called AVAY in the leasing office so that you and your Family can join OUR HAPPY FAMILY?

I lived here for about an year. The property itself is very nice and clean. The apartment layouts are very functional. The common areas are kept clean and tidy including the pool and clubhouse. The west side apartments come with stunning view of PP. Doorstep trash removal is the best service. Snow removal in winters was very prompt. It's pet friendly community. The property management team is very helpful and friendly. I took off one star because of the internet that you must take from them and can't change. It is not even close to fast and way too expensive (~7MBps for $74 including most basic cable. You pay extra if you want to increase the speed whereas other service providers offer higher speeds for way less money). Because it's a luxury apartment complex, it comes with a higher price tag. Overall satisfying stay here.

Lived here for a little over a year and I really liked these apartments! The apartment itself and the grounds were nice and clean. Valet trash is nice, the car wash station was convenient. However, I took off one star because of the constant stomping I heard from the upstairs neighbor, meaning that the floors are thin. The internet that you are forced to get from them is not the fastest, but functional. All in all, these apartments were great!

I could not be more pleased with this apartment complex. Everything from the pool, grill area, and the apartments themselves are super nice. The staff is always pleasant and extremely helpful. The assistant manager Jake is the absolute best! When he gave me the tour of the model apartment, my boyfriend wasn't with me so he kept calling with more questions every 5 minutes. Jake was very patient and answered every little question we both had. He also made sure to make me feel unpressured and gave me tons of options to fit my budget. Best experience I've ever had. I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody!

One of our neighbors constantly has trash outside their door even on non-pickup days. I can’t quite give it five stars for those reasons and the fact that we have had DirecTV out for 3 service calls in the 4 months we’ve lived here and are still having problems. This complex doesn’t give us the choice to opt out of DirecTV, unfortunately, it’s figured into the rent. We would rather have Comcast.

Only thing was that the hot tub was broken or inconsistently working about 5 months of the time we lived here. It got to the point that my wife and I quit considering going to the hot tub at all. Apartments and location are good. Only complaint is that they make you get a crappy Internet/Satellite TV bundle on top of the rent. It's shady business practices and aggravating. The speeds are very low and the satellite is the most basic package, so it's not like it's a good deal either. We ended up having to get a separate internet account just to have decent Internet. The bundle they make you get is even more expensive and much slower than the Internet we ended up buying separately through the same company. This was really the only complaint with them. The views are great here.

I've been a slightly annoying resident for less than a year now, and have had an unusual life circumstance impede my ability to fulfill my lease. These folks have always been helpful, friendly, and straightforward in a way that can be appreciated! The complex is quiet, folks are friendly (but not weirdos) and honestly my kid loved watching the cranes and dozers work in the mornings when we took the dog out. Prompt help with issues (which have been none or few) and full disclosure when the spa was down and being rebuilt and repaired. Very dog friendly, to be honest I'm disappointed I can't stay here (again for unusual life circumstance). The parking is a nightly competition, but still not a big deal to walk one minute or so from a further park. Walk it out folks, this is Colorado! 5 stars for the peaks!

I lived here for about two years and it is a beautiful place. I got to meet some wonderful people here. I've seen some reviews complaining that its expensive here but no one twisted my arm to sign my lease being a mature adult I asked the price and the I agreed to it. I didn't cry after the fact because I couldn't afford it or my parents weren't around to bail me out. I've since bought s house so no longer live here. The pros are being close to anything I needed and having a beautiful view of the mountains along with valet trash service. The cons. Lazy people letting their dog poop and expecting the staff to pick it up. I would visit the office and see and hear the most arrogant selfish immature people complain about the stupidest things. Everything is owed to this new generation nothing is earned. Grow up.

Let me start by saying that I lived in a 1B 1Bath apartment on the second floor above a garage. Also, this is an apartment complex so you need to keep in mind that this is COMMUNITY living area so you're bound to have some bad eggs that live there. Now with that said, Experience: I honestly really enjoyed living in these apartments over the past year. The staff is really nice and easy to work with (that is if you pay your rent and aren't a nuisance to your neighbors). Yes, the price of the apartments are a little on the high end but you do get what you pay for. During the warmer months, they manage to keep the grounds looking pretty good by cutting and maintaining the grass/gardens (they have a crew come in and take care of that). During the winter months they hire a company to come out and clear the parking lot and sidewalks which is very nice. Expenses: On top of the rent, you'll pay an additional fee that covers internet (1MB, any extra is on you), cable (basic package provided by DirecTV), and trash pickup which comes Sunday through Thursday around 8pm. The trashcan is a little bit smaller than your typical household trashcan but if you aren't wasteful, you'll manage. Utilities are not included so expect to pay around $18 for water and sewage and around $55-$80 (high end during the colder months) for electric and gas a month. Obviously the monthly expenses are a little more than average but it's definitely worth it in comparison to a lot of the other apartments. Complaints: Yes, the walls and floors are rather thin but what apartment that isn't made of concrete is going to be sound proof? I had a neighbor live above that had some pretty heavy foot steps. I simply addressed the matter with them and didn't have many issues after that (had to remind them a couple more times). If you live above a garage like I did, you will hear it open and close but that's usually only twice a day (morning and evening) but it didn't really bother me all that much. Parking: Parking is a first-come-first-serve thing. The later in the evening you get there, the harder it will be to find a spot during week but is pretty open on the weekends. You can sign up for a garage but will obviously be an extra monthly expense. Gates: The gates were working pretty much 95% of the time. During the winter months when the roads are a little icey, they will leave the gates open to prevent people from sliding into them but will close them as soon as the roads clear up enough. It is usually pretty quiet around the area but you will occasionally get those people that will speed through the complex or blare music which can be aggravating. In regards to the maintenance crew, they are pretty much working from the time they arrive (around 8am) to the time they leave (around 6pm). I had broken the mirror on my medicine cabinet and had it replaced in about a weeks time. At the same time they were even nice enough to replace a light bulb in my kitchen without me asking. When something needs to replaced in your apartment you have to realize that they may have to order a new one which could take a few days, maybe weeks to get in. Don't blame them. They're just doing their job. All in all it was a great experience while living here which is hard to say about an apartment complex here in the Springs. Like I said, you just have to keep in mind that no apartments are going to be a utopia. In my opinion, this is one of the better locations in the Springs where you get what you pay for.

During the winter months when the roads are a little icey, they will leave the gates open to prevent people from sliding into them but will close them as soon as the roads clear up enough. It is usually pretty quiet around the area but you will occasionally get those people that will speed through the complex or blare music which can be aggravating. In regards to the maintenance crew, they are pretty much working from the time they arrive (around 8am) to the time they leave (around 6pm). I had broken the mirror on my medicine cabinet and had it replaced in about a weeks time. At the same time they were even nice enough to replace a light bulb in my kitchen without me asking. When something needs to replaced in your apartment you have to realize that they may have to order a new one which could take a few days, maybe weeks to get in. Don't blame them. They're just doing their job. All in all it was a great experience while living here which is hard to say about an apartment complex here in the Springs. Like I said, you just have to keep in mind that no apartments are going to be a utopia. In my opinion, this is one of the better locations in the Springs where you get what you pay for.

Let me start by saying that I lived in a 1B 1Bath apartment on the second floor above a garage. Also, this is an apartment complex so you need to keep in mind that this is COMMUNITY living area so you're bound to have some bad eggs that live there. Now with that said, Experience: I honestly really enjoyed living in these apartments over the past year. The staff is really nice and easy to work with (that is if you pay your rent and aren't a nuisance to your neighbors). Yes, the price of the apartments are a little on the high end but you do get what you pay for. During the warmer months, they manage to keep the grounds looking pretty good by cutting and maintaining the grass/gardens (they have a crew come in and take care of that). During the winter months they hire a company to come out and clear the parking lot and sidewalks which is very nice. Expenses: On top of the rent, you'll pay an additional fee that covers internet (1MB, any extra is on you), cable (basic package provided by DirecTV), and trash pickup which comes Sunday through Thursday around 8pm. The trashcan is a little bit smaller than your typical household trashcan but if you aren't wasteful, you'll manage. Utilities are not included so expect to pay around $18 for water and sewage and around $55-$80 (high end during the colder months) for electric and gas a month. Obviously the monthly expenses are a little more than average but it's definitely worth it in comparison to a lot of the other apartments. Complaints: Yes, the walls and floors are rather thin but what apartment that isn't made of concrete is going to be sound proof? I had a neighbor live above that had some pretty heavy foot steps. I simply addressed the matter with them and didn't have many issues after that (had to remind them a couple more times). If you live above a garage like I did, you will hear it open and close but that's usually only twice a day (morning and evening) but it didn't really bother me all that much. Parking: Parking is a first-come-first-serve thing. The later in the evening you get there, the harder it will be to find a spot during week but is pretty open on the weekends. You can sign up for a garage but will obviously be an extra monthly expense. Gates: The gates were working pretty much 95% of the time. I moved into The Peaks at Woodman last October. I found it to be an incredible place to live! It felt like a home from day one. My neighbors were wonderful, and I enjoyed the camaraderie of the staff. I ended up moving out after purchasing my own home, but remember my time at The Peaks with fondness and nostalgia of a great place to live. I will say, though that a Christmas gift was accidentally mailed to my address at The Peaks after I had moved out and the one person handling the front office was rather rude when I asked about the package. So I don't know if that is the new "atmosphere" at The Peaks or not. When I lived there, I loved it!

My wife and I have lived here for a little over a year now, and have had 0 problems (Minus the occasional careless driver in the parking lot.) All these reviews we've read seems to be a bunch of irresponsible tenants who can't manage their finances. Our apartments has been great to us, as well as the management, sometimes they are a little delayed in answering the phone, but we have never been pushed aside or blown off. The maintenance has been outstanding, the ammenities are brand new and look great with the setup in the kitchen. The rent is a little more expensive than the average apartment/condo complex, but you get what you pay for. We opted out of the "Required TV" because it's not required.. Trash however is required, but you can't beat having to just put your trashcan outside your door 5 days a week! I drive my truck with my trash in the back down to the dump Friday and Saturday night, and throw my trash IN THE BIN. I have picked up other folks bags copious amounts of times to ensure it doesn't look like we live in a trashy area. If you don't like it, do your part to fix it!
